One of the most frustrating things about hiring new staff is the time it takes to find a pool of candidates most relevant for your jobs.

Screening questions allow you to add qualifiers to your application form so you can discover the most relevant and targeted candidates for your jobs.

There are three types of screening questions you can create:

  • Open text

  • Single choice

  • Multiple choice

Open text

Open text questions allow candidates to add any text to a question you ask.  A good example could be 'Why are you applying for a job at Example App?'.

Single choice

A single-choice question is where a candidate must choose only one answer from your question choices. A good example could be 'Do you know how to use Facebook Adverts?' and providing 'Yes' or 'No' as possible answers.

Multiple choice

A Multiple choice question is where a candidate can choose multiple answers from your question choices. A good example could be 'What coding languages are you proficient in?' and providing 'PHP', 'Python', and 'JavaScript' as possible answers to select.

You can add Screening Questions by adding 'Custom Fields' to your job posting. On the Add Job modal, click the "+ Add New Field", select the type of question you'd like to use, and add your screening question.
