Why Isn’t My Job Posting to LinkedIn?

If your job isn’t appearing on LinkedIn, don’t worry. In most cases, the issue can be identified and resolved quickly.

This guide explains how to check the status of your LinkedIn posting in GoHire, understand common failure reasons, and fix the most common LinkedIn configuration issues.

Step 1: Check Your LinkedIn Posting Status in GoHire

To see whether your job has been successfully submitted to LinkedIn:

  • Open the job in GoHire.

  • Navigate to the Campaign Overview section.

  • Locate the LinkedIn posting status.

If LinkedIn has rejected or blocked the job, you’ll see a status of Needs Review along with a reason explaining why the posting failed.

Always start by reviewing this message, as it usually points directly to the issue that needs attention.

Step 2: Review the LinkedIn Error Message

“Invalid Company” Error

One of the most common LinkedIn posting errors is:

This job is blocked as its company is marked invalid. Failure reason reference code: [JOB_FIELD_PROCESSOR_COMPANY]

This error is typically caused by LinkedIn Company Page settings rather than anything within GoHire.

LinkedIn recently introduced additional controls that allow Company Page administrators to decide which Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS) are permitted to post jobs to their Company Page.

If GoHire has not been approved as a posting source, LinkedIn may reject the job and return the Invalid Company error.

Step 3: Enable Job Posting from GoHire on LinkedIn

A LinkedIn Company Page administrator should:

3.1 Open the Company Page Admin Dashboard

In LinkedIn:

  • Click your profile picture in the top right corner.

  • Select Manage.

  • Choose your Company Page.

You should arrive at a page similar to:

https://www.linkedin.com/company/your-company/admin/dashboard/

3.2 Navigate to Job Posting Settings

From the left-hand menu:

Settings → Job Posting

3.3 Enable Basic Job Posting

If this is a newly created Company Page, or you’re posting jobs for the first time:

  • Turn on Enable basic job posting.

Once enabled:

  • If no ATS source is selected, LinkedIn allows all supported ATS providers to post jobs to your page.

  • Your jobs submitted from GoHire should begin processing normally.

3.4 Approve GoHire as an ATS Source (Optional)

If you want to control which systems can post jobs to your Company Page:

  • Click Connect ATS.

  • Select GoHire from the available ATS providers.

  • Save your changes.

Only ATS providers selected here will be allowed to post jobs to your LinkedIn Company Page.

If GoHire is not approved, LinkedIn may block job submissions.

Step 4: If Your Company Page Already Posts Jobs

If your Company Page has previously received jobs from one or more ATS providers:

  • The Enable basic job posting setting is usually enabled automatically.

  • No action is required if you want to continue accepting job postings from all existing sources.

However, if you’ve recently updated your ATS connections or changed Company Page settings, it’s worth checking that GoHire remains approved as a posting source.

Step 5: Review Other LinkedIn Posting Errors

If your LinkedIn status in GoHire shows Needs Review with a different error message:

  • Open the job’s Campaign Overview page.

  • Review the failure reason shown by LinkedIn.

  • Update the job details where required.

  • Republish or resubmit the job.

LinkedIn may reject jobs for reasons such as:

  • Missing required fields

  • Invalid location data

  • Expired job information

  • Company Page permissions

  • ATS authorization settings

The error message displayed in GoHire will usually indicate what needs to be corrected.
