How to Create a Custom Domain for Your GoHire Careers Page
If you want to add more personalization and company branding to your GoHire careers page, you can create a custom domain for it. This will allow you to use a domain name like jobs.example.com or careers.example.com instead of the default GoHire domain. To get started, you'll need access to your Domain Name System (DNS) and follow these steps:
Step 1: Access Your DNS and Select the Relevant Domain
Log in to your DNS provider's website and select the domain that you want to use for your custom GoHire careers page.
Step 2: Head to the Area Where You Can Manage Your DNS
Navigate to the area where you can manage your DNS settings. This may be called something like "DNS Management" or "DNS Records."
Step 3: Create a CNAME Record
Create a new CNAME record. The exact steps for doing this will depend on your DNS provider. If you need help, you can check your DNS provider's help center or reach out to their support team.
Step 4: Insert the Hostname/Host/Label
Insert the hostname/host/label for your custom GoHire careers page. We recommend using 'careers' as the label, for example, careers.example.com.
Step 5: Insert the Destination/Point to/Target
Insert the destination/point to/target for your custom GoHire careers page as custom.gohire.io. This will map your custom domain to your GoHire careers page. Below is an example of adding a custom domain in your DNS.
Note: Once you've created the CNAME record, changes to the DNS can take up to 24 hours to take effect. Be patient and don't worry if you don't see the changes immediately.
That's it! By following these simple steps, you can create a custom domain for your GoHire careers page, adding more personalization and company branding. If you encounter any issues during the integration process, please don't hesitate to contact our support team for assistance.
