How do I post LinkedIn Premium jobs through GoHire?

This article covers three things: the LinkedIn licence you need before you start, how to connect your LinkedIn Premium account to GoHire, and how to post a job to LinkedIn Premium and confirm it went live.

Before you start: you need an existing LinkedIn Recruiter licence

LinkedIn Premium Job Posting isn't something GoHire sells or provisions directly — it runs on top of a licence you hold with LinkedIn. Before you can connect anything in GoHire, your company needs:

1. An active LinkedIn Recruiter contract that includes the Premium Job Posting package. If you're not sure whether yours does, check with your LinkedIn account contact.

2. A LinkedIn seat with either the “Dashboard Manager Admin” or “Recruiter Admin” role on that contract — only someone with one of these roles can complete the connection and be set as the default job poster in the next section.

Note: This licence lives entirely on LinkedIn's side. GoHire can't request, upgrade, or troubleshoot it for you — if Premium Job Posting isn't available when you reach Step 1 below, that's a LinkedIn account/licensing issue to raise with your LinkedIn rep, not a GoHire setting.

Step 1: Connect your LinkedIn Premium account to GoHire

This is a one-off setup per GoHire account. Once connected, every job you promote to LinkedIn Premium will use this connection.

1. In GoHire, go to Settings > Job Boards.

Settings > Job Boards, with LinkedIn Premium shown as “not connected.”

Note: GoHire lists two separate LinkedIn integrations here: “LinkedIn” (the free job board, toggled on/off independently) and “LinkedIn Premium” (the paid integration this article covers). Turning the free LinkedIn board on or off, as shown below, has no effect on your Premium connection.

The free “LinkedIn” board toggle is separate from “LinkedIn Premium.”

2. On the LinkedIn Premium row, click Open LinkedIn Widget.

3. If you're not already signed in to LinkedIn in your browser, you'll be prompted to sign in — click Sign in and enter your LinkedIn credentials.

Sign in with the LinkedIn account that holds Dashboard Manager Admin or Recruiter Admin access.

4. Select the LinkedIn contract you want to connect, then click Continue.

Select a Contract.

5. Choose a default job poster. Only an active contract user with a “Dashboard Manager Admin” or “Recruiter Admin” role can be selected here — this is the LinkedIn identity your Premium job posts will be published under.

Select a default job poster, then click Save.

6. You'll see a confirmation screen showing Premium Job Posting is enabled, along with the signed-in member, contract ID, contract name, and job poster. Your GoHire account is now connected.

Confirmation: Premium Job Posting is enabled.

Step 2: Post a job to LinkedIn Premium

Once the connection above is in place, promoting a job takes one click from the job editor.

1. Open the job you want to promote and go to its Edit Job screen, then to the Premium Job Board Advertising section.

2. In the LinkedIn card, click Promote on LinkedIn.

Note: If you see a message such as “LinkedIn free job was not posted: please re-try posting job,” simply click Promote on LinkedIn again. This is a retry prompt, not a failed connection — it doesn't mean Step 1 needs to be redone.

Step 3: Confirm the job posted successfully

You can confirm the post went live in two places: back in GoHire, and directly on LinkedIn.

In GoHire

1. Reopen the Premium Job Board Advertising section for that job. Once posted, the LinkedIn card changes from “Promote on LinkedIn” to confirm the job is currently promoted, with a Remove Premium option in its place.

The card now confirms the job is promoted as a LinkedIn Premium job.

2. You can also confirm it from the job's action menu: click the settings/gear icon on the job, then select View Linkedin Premium Job to open the live listing directly.

Job actions menu — View Linkedin Premium Job.

On LinkedIn

1. The listing should show “Promoted by hirer” beneath the job title and location, confirming it's live as a Premium post.

On LinkedIn, a successfully promoted job is labelled “Promoted by hirer.”
