We all know time is short. Clicking into every candidate profile and trawling through CVs can be tedious — especially when each one follows its own style, format, and language.

That’s why we’ve launched Match AI, our next major step into AI-driven recruitment. Built to save you time and surface the best-fit candidates faster, Match AI helps you make smarter, more informed hiring decisions — with far less manual effort.

🚀 Why Match AI?

Traditional CVs are unstructured — they’re free-form documents that vary wildly in layout and detail. Evaluating whether someone meets your specific criteria takes time.

Match AI changes that. It instantly parses every CV into a structured, standardised format, so whenever you open a candidate profile, you’ll see consistent, easy-to-read information that actually helps you make a decision.

✅ Automatically triggered when a candidate applies

Match AI runs the moment someone applies for a job — no setup needed. It gets to work in the background, structuring the CV and analysing it against your job description.

✋ Available manually too

If you’re uploading candidates manually or importing them from another source, you can trigger Match AI with one click from the candidate profile.

🔍 What does Match AI do?

At its core, Match AI has two functions:

1. Structure and clean your data (CV parsing)

2. Evaluate each candidate’s fit (AI matching)

Here’s how it works:

Step 1: Clean, structured CV data

Match AI restructures the candidate’s CV into a consistent layout and highlights key details such as:

  • Location

  • Current employment status

  • Total years of experience

  • Evidenced skills

This makes it easier to compare applicants side-by-side and quickly understand whether they meet your core requirements.

Step 2: Intelligent candidate evaluation

Match AI goes beyond formatting. It evaluates how well a candidate matches the role they’ve applied for — all based on your job description.

You’ll see:

  • A match score out of 10

  • A recommendation status (Recommended / Consider / Not Recommended)

  • A summary of candidate fit, including:

    • Pros and cons

    • Relevance of experience

    • Skills and education alignment

    • Sentiment analysis

    • Potential retention risks (e.g. job-hopping)

This helps you instantly identify your strongest candidates and avoid wasting time on poor fits.

⚙️ Match AI + Workflow Automation (Pro Plans)

If you’re on a Pro Plan, you can take Match AI one step further by using it in your automated stage actions.

This allows you to:

  • Automatically progress candidates through your pipeline based on their Match AI score or recommendation status

  • Instantly move high-scoring candidates to interview stages

  • Filter out low-fit candidates with no manual review required

It’s a powerful way to streamline your hiring — especially when dealing with large volumes of applicants.

📌 Pro Tip: Improve Accuracy with Better Job Descriptions

The more detail you include in your job description, the more precise Match AI can be.

To get the best results, we recommend clearly outlining:

  • Must-have and nice-to-have skills

  • Required years of experience

  • Preferred qualifications or education

  • Cultural fit indicators (e.g. startup environment, fast-paced teams)

A well-written job ad powers a more accurate match.

💳 Credits & Billing

Every account includes a monthly free credit allowance for Match AI, which covers both automatic and manual usage.

Need more?

  • Upgrade to a Plus+ plan to instantly add 1,000 Match AI credits per month

  • Or contact our team for a custom plan tailored to your hiring volume

You can manage everything from Settings > Billing in your account.

🧠 Designed to Assist — Not Replace

Match AI is here to support your hiring decisions, not make them for you. It helps you filter faster, act smarter, and hire better — but it’s important to remember:

Match AI can make mistakes.

Always take care to review each candidate’s profile and match results, especially for roles that demand specific expertise or nuanced judgement.
